What to Expect After LASIK Eye Surgery

If you’re sick of having to wear glasses every day or if you’re sick of having to put in and take out your contact lenses both morning and night, then you’ve no doubt started to consider LASIK eye surgery. Blurred Vision
You get LASIK surgery to help correct all of your vision problems and so the last thing you may expect is to have blurred vision after surgery. However, it’s something that a lot of our patients experience. If you have blurred vision for a few weeks all the way up to several months after your LASIK surgery, it’s normal. If you feel like it’s worsening or if it persists, schedule an appointment at our office.
You May Feel Uncomfortable
Just like a wound on your skin that is healing after surgery or an injury, your eyes may itch, burn, or be uncomfortable as they heal from LASIK surgery. Although the discomfort should subside after a few days or weeks, just know that it is a good sign that your eyes are healing well. And during your follow-up appointments, we will ensure that they are healing as best as possible.
If you have perfect vision, then you deserve a round of applause. However, if you’re like the rest of us and you have to wear glasses or contacts, then it may be time to take control of your vision and invest in LASIK surgery.
