3 Things to Pack In Your Pool Bag
- Posted on: Jun 15 2019
Getting your kids ready for a summer vacation can feel like a full-time job with itself. Not only do you have to remember to bring all of their toys, books, and clothes, but you also have to remember to bring their swimming and beach gear (if you’re going somewhere tropical). To make sure that your kids’ eyes stay healthy and protected while you’re at the swimming pool or beach, we have a few things for you to add to your packing list. Let’s get packing!
A Sun Hat
If you have older kids, let them pick out a fun hat to bring with them to the beach. Whether they choose a baseball hat or a big beach hat, as long as it covers their eyes, they should be golden. If you have a baby or a toddler, then get them a sun hat that covers their face from all angles; this won’t just protect them from sunburn, but from the glaring sun as well.
Sunglasses
Sunglasses don’t just look cute on little kids, but they serve a purpose as well. Try to get your kids into the habit of wearing their sunglasses whenever you’re outside. The reflection off of the water from the pool or the ocean is enough of a problem to cause permanent eye damage. When you get your kids to pair sunglasses with a sun hat, you have the perfect amount of protection.
Goggles
Another thing that your kids should wear when they’re in the water is a pair of swimming goggles. Because chlorine and saltwater will naturally dry your kid’s eyes out, it’s not going to do them any favors. Plus, with so much dirt and sand in the ocean, that is the last thing you want to expose their eyes to.
Pack these things, some toys, some sunscreen, a swimsuit, and your kids will be good to go on vacation. To learn more, contact us at our Everett office and call (425) 259-2020.
