Entropion in Everett, WA

What is Entropion?

Entropion | Physicians Eye ClinicEntropion is a medical condition in which the eyelids are turned inward. It is extremely uncomfortable because the eyelashes constantly rub against the eye and cause redness, tearing, and a foreign body sensation. There are multiple causes of entropion, with the most common being age-related changes that result in an inversion of the lower lid. Medical treatments include ocular lubricants and drops, botulinum to relax the eyelid muscles, and the taping of the lower lid. Definitive treatment involves surgical correction.
